Hello and welcome to RC Hobbies on Air.
RC flying devices, such as RC helicopters, airplanes, and drones, are fantastic gadgets. It is one thing to see them flying and performing all sorts of tricks, and a complete different experience to be in charge of the transmitter, controlling the whole thing. The minute you decide to sign up and get your own, it can be a bit tricky to choose which way you’re going to lean.
Of course you can always enter all three of them and enjoy each experience, but as you progress with these devices, you understand that all of them are different, and therefore, the experience is very different too.
This wouldn’t matter if you want to stay with toy-grade devices, but as you move up in your learning curve with a beginner’s gadget, you immediately want to feel the adrenaline of flying a bigger, faster, more powerful, and more challenging aircraft.
I got to warn you, this hobby is pretty addictive. This is why it is important to first explore each world and then make an informed decision of which way you want to take.
Now, realistically speaking, this could be a bit costly, because even at a beginner’s level, you can find some RC helis, drones, or airplanes anywhere from $50 to $150+ USD. If you add to that the unavoidable crashes you’re going to have just because you’re starting, well, you can figure how expensive this could be.
This is why I created this website, because I think I can help you with a bit of information to guide you through the process of finding the right gadget for you, and at the same time, keep it safe, frugal, and fun.
I’m Jose Lozano and now I invite you to keep exploring the site and start your way to your first successful flight with whatever device suits you best.
