This is the official site of the Academy of Model Aeronautics. This is an extraordinary resource to find instructors, learn to fly a helicopter, a turbine-powered jet, own your giant-scale aircraft, the AMA is the place to go. The main intention of the AMA is to promote the development of model aviation to be recognized as a sport and a worthwhile recreation activity. To join you actually have to become a member, but this non-profit association is open to anyone interested in model aviation around the world. One of the main reasons why it is a good idea to join is because you learn some of the rules to fly RC gadgets such as helicopters, quadcopters, and airplanes. You must know that the best way to keep this hobby as a recreational activity, we want to do it following some rules, and the AMA is a great place to start and keep safe your hobby.
Quad Hangar is a site that I found recently and so far has impressed me. Bob Hammel is the mastermind behind the site, and he seems to have a real connection with these quadcopters. When I was reading his about me page, I resonated a lot with him since he shares that he loves electronics and RC since he was a kid. This is pretty much the same for me, and you can read it in my personal story with RC toys page. Going back to Bob’s site, this is a great resource if what you like are quads and drones. Ehelis is a great site with lots of information about RC helicopters. Their main focus are mini helis, but they also give news, reviews, tips, and tricks about other larger type of helicopters. The site is originally written in German, but it has a Google translate feature installed that allows you to see the site in English. Ehelis is a great place to find good and useful reviews of different types of RC helis, and the one thing I love about these articles is that they create reviews in order to give a full explanation of the entire heli, including the transmitter, to the audience.
I think the main headline of this site tells you everything. RC Airplanes Simplified is a website completely dedicated to RC airplanes. If you’re looking for some tips and tricks, being a complete newbie to airplanes or a seasoned pilot, this is the place to be at. This site is a very complete resource and if what you’re looking for is a site that teaches you how to build RC airplanes from plans, or if you need to know everything about the engines, the fuel, and all the parts that an RC plane needs, RC Airplanes simplified is ideal for you.

These 2 guys are expert pilots and are also involved with companies such as Align, Horizon, and many others. Bert has been involved in the design of RC helis with some of these brands, and Bobby is a sponsored pilot who has participated in various events around the world. Together, Bobby and Bert share lots of insight and technical videos about their experience as professional RC helicopter pilots and show you the way to get to where they are, if that is what you’re looking for.
This is a fantastic resource and one that I personally enjoyed a lot. You guys know that I’m an engineer, a Mechatronic Engineer, therefore, I love everything having to do with signals, motor tests, technical explanations, and all that stuff. This is precisely what Helituning is all about. On this site you’ll find lots of great advice about why and how an RC helicopter can improve flight performance, engine power, speed, and many more things. You’ll also find that even when this site is entirely technical, the language used and the way to describe things are super easy to go with, besides, the real fans of this hobby will have no problem with doing their own research to understand more about these fantastic devices.
